As usual the day was beautiful, we were able to practice and teach in the open air while feeling the enormous energy generated by our group with the simultaneous world wide event .

With our Commissioner of Health and Social Affairs, Mr James Kroon signing a Proclamation this year, recognising WTCQGD on behalf of Bonaire we had some extraordinary publicity and for the first time we had a small audience.

Onlookers received the “Opening Message” and a short explanation of the many health benefits of Tai Chi which are particularly valuable to sections of our Community. I am sure that we can build on this for next year and grow the event accordingly.

On our Island, shade is the most important issue for any outdoor events so we held the main event inside a shaded area that didn’t lend itself to photography and then we moved outside for a brief while so that we could take some photographs that show our daily teaching area.

The peace and tranquillity of the area assisted dramatically in our demonstration, training and practice to help us to achieve so much more from our event.
